Olive Japan

OLIVE JAPAN is one of the world’s largest, most reputable international olive oil competitions. This year it is adding the first international table olive contest in Asia. OLIVE JAPAN is dedicated to fair, accurate judging by international experts who come to Tokyo to provide well-founded information for producers and consumers. To promote award-winning olive oils and olives directly to thousands of consumers, the competition will be followed by the OLIVE JAPAN SHOW in June, and an online publication. The Governor

Reinvigorating abandoned olive groves on the island of Corfu, Spyros and George Dafnis created The Governor, the first olive oil brand completely composed of Corfu’s native Lianolia olive variety. Within a few years, The Governor became the first to display the EU health claim for olive oil on its bottle’s label, and the Dafnis family began donating their EVOO for use in scientific studies on the health benefits of high phenolic EVOO. They also established Corfu Olive Tours, the first olive oil tourism venture on their island, and The Olive House, the first and only olive oil bar in Corfu.
